PAS and Pakatan Rakyat

There is a polemic out there since the 55th PAS Muktamar which is the issue of Unity Government, first introduced by Hadi Awang, President of PAS. On the other hand, another cleric of PAS, Nik Aziz went all out against the Unity talk with PAS's long term nemesis, UMNO.

So it is written in history, Nasharuddin Mat Isa had beaten another two deputy president candidates, Husam Musa and Mohamad Sabu. Nasharuddin is a good leader and is known a good boy of PAS. He is very loyal and have good leadership characteristics and we never heard anything bad about him since the Reformasi movement era.

As for Husam, he is a golden boy of Nik Aziz and there was a rumour he will be the next Kelantan Menteri Besar. That is the reason why he was brought to contest in Kijang, one of Kelantan States legislative. Always he, Husam Musa attend the meeting of Pakatan Rakyat coalition which involving PAS, PKR and DAP. We all know the de facto leader of the coalition who made this coalition happen, if not Anwar Ibrahim. There is perception he is too close to the de facto leader, Anwar Ibrahim.

Mohamad Sabu is a well known a good PAS leader and an activist. A good preacher who can makes a stunning, provocative and direct approach when he speaks and he can influences the people for an instance. Though many UMNO leaders didn't like him in early days because he can makes a difference as Mahfuz and Nasharuddin in early Reformasi era.

I dont' want to explain any detail of the differences of opinions in PAS nowadays but the way I see it, PAS is ready to make a step forward regardless of what people say about them.

Hadi Awang, Nasharuddin and Mustafa Ali will make sure the party is strong as ever and protected the interest of the Malays. Not many UMNO Malays will shift their votes to PKR and DAP and they are not sure with PAS either. Hadi Awang will gains their confidence to replace UMNO and that is what Hadi Awang is doing. PAS will come first.

Meanwhile, Nik Aziz, Husam Musa and Khalid Samad will continue to make the Pakatan Rakyat coalition stronger and ready to involve in the new government should they win in the 13th General Election.

I like the terminology of one of the online newspapers, "PAS is dancing in their on tune".

2) Reading a lot of internet stuffs especially politics.
3) Playing and making my sister mad because she looked cute when she is angry.
4) Reading a few pages on Twilight novel which takes forever to finish.
5) We had PAS political party assembly in Shah Alam. I did take really deep analysis and it was interesting. Different views can be given from different perspective.

Penanti is not Perak

So it's confirmed that Barisan Nasional will not contest in Penanti. It will be likely a contest between PKR and Independent candidate.

Will Barisan Nasional officially throw their support on the Independent candidate?

I think PKR will win but with reducing majority. After all, Penanti is a PAS stronghold and they have an issue on Penang PAS Youth want to contest in that seat. Nik Aziz had interfered in that case emphasizing that Muslim should not take back what they had give. Penanti is given to PKR and it is the right of PKR to contest in that seat again according to agreement between Pakatan Rakyat coalition.

Actually it will be more fun when Pakatan Rakyat will fight against an unknown enemy. You don't realize the strength of your enemy and Pakatan will know it when Election Commision declaring the results at the night of 31st May 2009.

How the polarity of the voters in the Penanti and how they vote will be a major topic discussions. How Barisan Nasional supporters give their votes to an independet candidate? Is Perak fiasco affected the Penanti by-election?

One thing for sure, Penanti is not Perak.

Anwar and Barisan Nasional

At this state when I wrote this, I think Barisan Nasional is at its lowest point in any angle be it public perception, economic solutions, internal and external affairs, Perak crisis and don't forget Penanti by-election.

If Anwar's plan is going to meet the target, Barisan Nasional will lost in the 13th General Election. Accept the post 16th September's new government, Anwar's always make an impressive outcome. The first thing he did when went out from jail, he visited Pak Lah during Hari Raya and that made many reformists angry like mad. However, now if we look back, it was the right thing to do.

He also critized Najib like hell and on the other hand, he just touched a little on Pak Lah. This also had an issue among the oppositions especially PAS. Now if we look back, it was also the right thing to do.

In oppostion perspective, I didn't agree with Penanti by-election. However now I think it was a very good move and Barisan Nasional's late decision make them like a stupid coward stuck with their balls between their legs.

I will reserve my opinions on Najib.
